Two-Level Car Park Smoke Ventilation System, Salford

The brief

A regular commercial customer brought us in on a new-build apartment development in Salford to install the smoke ventilation system across a two-level basement car park. A job of this size, coordinated around the other trades on a live construction site, ran over a number of weeks.

What we did

• Installed the impulse jet fans and extract fan units across both levels of the car park
• Fitted the intake and exhaust louvres, PVE car-park CO detection heads and the associated containment and wiring
• Built and wired the induction-fan control panel, then commissioned and tested the full system

The result

The development has a complete, tested two-level smoke ventilation system that clears smoke and keeps the escape routes safe in the event of a fire, ready for building control sign-off.
